Larry learns that Nocturne was once a guardian fairy named Elias, betrayed by the council generations earlier after experimenting with forbidden dream magic. Twisted by isolation and rage, Elias discovered a way to corrupt the Midnight Protocol, turning the magical network connecting children’s dreams into a weapon. Every missing tooth now acts as a gateway, slowly opening portals between worlds. Worse still, Larry’s own daughter Emma has become linked to the protocol after unknowingly receiving a cursed silver coin beneath her pillow.
Determined to save Emma, Larry teams up with Lily and a sarcastic goblin inventor named Gribble. Inside, Larry discovers the system can only be shut down manually from within the dream nexus itself — a place where a person’s darkest fears become real.
In the emotional climax, Larry enters the nexus and faces terrifying visions of losing his daughter forever.
