STREET FIGHTER (2026) – Official Movie Trailer

Street Fighter (2026) is a highly anticipated live-action reboot of the beloved video game series, set to bring the World Warrior universe to life on the big screen once again. Directed by Kitao Sakurai and written by Dalan Musson, the film represents a fresh cinematic take on the franchise and a reboot of previous adaptations rather than a continuation of the older films. It’s produced by Legendary Pictures in partnership with Capcom, and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures when it releases in theaters on October 16, 2026.

The story takes place in 1993, a period that evokes the early heyday of Street Fighter II and the classic era of arcade fighting games. In this version, two iconic fighters — Ryu (played by Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) — are estranged friends and fighters who have drifted apart. Their paths are brought back together when the mysterious and determined Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them to take part in the World Warrior Tournament, an international competition that draws the best fighters from around the world

At first, yu and Ken are motivated by personal goals and old rivalries, each seeking purpose and honor in the tournament. But as the competition progresses, they begin to uncover that something far more sinister lies beneath the surface of the spectacle: a deadly conspiracy that threatens not just the fighters in the tournament, but the very world order. The deeper they dig, the more they must confront their own inner demons, their fractured friendship, and the choices that shaped their pasts.

The film features a star-studded ensemble cast that brings to life many memorable characters from the Street Fighter universe, blending martial arts action with dramatic narrative arcs. Alongside the leads are well-known figures from combat sports and entertainment: Jason Momoa as Blanka, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoaʻi as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, plus others filling out the global roster of fighters.
