Enola Holmes 3 continues the adventurous journey of the brilliant young detective Enola Holmes, once again played by Millie Bobby Brown. After the dramatic events of Enola Holmes 2, in which Enola helped expose a dangerous conspiracy and strengthened her reputation as a formidable sleuth, she is now fully committed to running her own detective agency in Victorian London. Her success has brought new challenges, and as Enola grows up and matures, so too do the stakes of the mysteries she must solve.
In this third installment, Enola is drawn into a more treacherous and layered case than ever before. The plot takes her beyond England’s foggy streets to the sun-drenched Mediterranean island of Malta, where she faces danger, deception, and riddles that challenge both her intellect and her heart. The journey represents a shift from the familiar urban labyrinths of London to an exotic new setting filled with enigmatic clues and unexpected adversaries — a narrative move that promises to expand the scope of Enola’s world and highlight her evolving detective skills.

Along the way, familiar faces return to support and complicate her mission. Sherlock Holmes, her renowned older brother, remains a guiding — though sometimes frustrating — presence, while Lord Tewkesbury, now her romantic interest, travels with her and adds emotional depth to the unfolding mystery. Other returning allies include their mother Eudoria Holmes, whose influence still shapes Enola’s independence, and the formidable Mira Troy (Moriarty), whose escape at the end of the previous film hints at future conflict. Dr. John Watson, newly introduced into the Holmes family circle, brings his own perspective to the investigations.
The story is expected to be darker and more mature than the first two movies, reflecting Enola’s transition from adolescence into adulthood and presenting more complex emotional and moral dilemmas. As she unravels layers of mystery in Malta, she must balance her personal relationships with her drive to seek truth and justice, even when doing so puts her directly in harm’s way.

Although an official release date has not been announced, filming wrapped in mid-2025 and the movie is anticipated to debut on Netflix in 2026. Fans of the franchise can look forward to a thrilling blend of action, wit, intrigue, and character growth as Enola Holmes confronts her most challenging case yet.
