Jumanji 4: Frosted Chaos (2026) opens with the gang living normal lives again, believing the magical game is finally behind them. But when an unusual snowstorm hits their town in the middle of summer, Spencer discovers a strange frost-covered game piece glowing inside his backpack. Before they can react, the freezing energy spreads wildly, dragging Spencer, Martha, Fridge, and Bethany back into Jumanji. This time, the once tropical world has transformed into a frozen wilderness, reshaped by a corrupted version of the game that has fallen out of balance.
Upon arrival, the group finds themselves in their familiar avatars—Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Mouse Finbar, and Shelly Oberon—but with new disadvantages caused by the icy terrain. Bravestone’s fearless strength is weakened by frostbite, Ruby’s agility is slowed on slippery ground, and Finbar discovers that many of the animals he once understood are now mutated into aggressive snow beasts. The gang quickly learns that Jumanji’s core has been overtaken by an ancient entity known as the Frost King, who has hijacked the game’s rules and plunged the entire world into eternal winter.

As they navigate frozen forests, collapsing ice canyons, and abandoned villages buried under snow, the group encounters new allies. One is Aurora, a mysterious NPC hunter who seems to know more about the origins of the Frost King than she lets on. She guides them to the Crystal Plains, where the heart of Jumanji’s magic is located. Along the way, Kevin Hart’s Finbar provides comedic relief as he attempts to control a new “icy roar” ability that triggers unintentionally, often attracting unwanted creatures.
The challenges become increasingly dangerous as the Frost King’s influence spreads. Avalanches, living snow golems, and blizzards that distort perception force the team to rely on cooperation rather than their weakened powers. Tensions rise when Spencer begins to feel responsible for the world’s collapse, believing the frost piece appeared because the game still considers him its “chosen player.” Martha reminds him that they survived Jumanji before not because of luck, but because they faced it together.

The climax unfolds inside the Frost King’s towering icy citadel, where the group must complete a nearly impossible sequence of tasks that involve timing, teamwork, and resisting illusions created to exploit their fears. In the final confrontation, Bravestone battles the Frost King while the others work to restore Jumanji’s core. With courage and chaos in equal measure, they shatter the source of the eternal winter.
When the world begins to thaw, the gang is pulled back home, landing in the sunshine as if nothing happened. But the frost-marked game piece remains behind, hinting that Jumanji may not be done with them—or the world—just yet.
