Anaconda 5: Queen of the Jungle (2025) pushes the creature-horror franchise into its most intense territory yet, following a new expedition that ventures deep into an untouched corner of the Amazon known as the Green Abyss. The film begins with a group of wildlife geneticists traveling upriver to investigate reports of abnormally large serpents and unexplained disappearances near an isolated research camp. Though the mission is presented as a scientific survey, several members quickly suspect their corporate sponsor has darker motives.
Upon arriving at the camp, the team finds it abandoned, with equipment overturned and emergency beacons still flashing. Strange claw marks slash across metal containers, and the jungle around the camp feels unnaturally silent. Dr. Elena Ramirez, the expedition’s herpetologist, notices signs of territorial behavior unseen in any known anaconda species. Their unease grows when they discover a series of underground tunnels carved through the soil, each far wider than any normal serpent could create.
As they push deeper into the rainforest, the group encounters the truth: a colossal, jet-black anaconda known by local tribes as the Queen of the Jungle. Dr. Ramirez, determined to protect the natural balance of the rainforest, leads the remaining survivors into the heart of the Green Abyss.
